We will have a double treat in store for you this month as we have two very informative presentations this month concerning services for our senior clients. This is a new government funded program for Washtenaw County residents to include all-inclusive care for our elderly population with the goal of keeping them out of Medicaid funded nursing homes. I am looking into this program for my own mother to allow her to stay in her own home as long as possible.
Our second presentation will be from the Ann Arbor Transportation Authority. TheRide will present proposed service improvements for the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area which may be the subject of a millage vote on May 6th, 2014. Service improvements include longer service hours, more weekend service and more destinations for seniors and people with disabilities.
