Who We Are
Washtenaw County Senior Leaders, Inc. (WCSL), a nonprofit corporation, evolved from the largest and oldest senior services networking group started by volunteers in 2007 in Washtenaw County. Our members consist of individuals having or working in a business or non-profit organization which provide senior-related services for the older adults and their families in and around our county. While our current membership stands close to 100 individuals, most monthly meetings have an average attendance of 35-50 members who gather once a month at various hosting locations within the Washtenaw County area.

The group is comprised of kind-hearted professionals from a variety of backgrounds and businesses who have an enjoyable time being together and helping one another. Unlike many other networking groups, we do not limit the amount of individuals who are in a particular niche; competition for business and referrals just isn't our style! Instead, we refer clients to the individual or business that best fits the specific needs and personality of the "senior-in-need".
Our Meetings
We meet on the 2nd Thursday of every month from 8:30am to 10:00am. Please check under Meetings to find the hosting location and other information for the upcoming month.
Each month's meeting starts with an opportunity for our members to network, build important business relationships, and share client referrals with one another. We encourage members and guests to bring business cards and other promotional materials they may have to share with the group. **Due to Covid-19 we are hosting hybrid meetings via Zoom AND in person unless otherwise specified.
The next portion of each meeting is dedicated to the presentation of relevant information on topics of interest to our membership. These educational presentations are delivered by a different speaker each month.

And finally, our meeting finishes with our "60-Second Introductions" in which each of our attending members has an opportunity to stand and introduce him or herself to the entire group and provide a short snippet of information about the services or products they provide to our senior population here in Washtenaw County and the surrounding areas. We reserve this important portion of the meeting for our members only. Any guests in attendance will have a brief opportunity at the start of the meeting to identify themselves, their title, and the name of the business they work for. In the meantime, this portion of our meeting is a great opportunity for guests to learn more about other individuals who they may not have had a chance to meet earlier during our networking time.
These monthly meetings are always at a different member's place of business and tours of their facility are typically available after the meetings. This is a great way for our members to learn and see, first-hand, various resources within the county that are available for our senior clients. Please check under Meetings to find this month's hosting location and other relevant information pertaining to the meeting.
